Naheed is a Co-Director of Austlink Consultants, T/A Study in Australia. Prior to joining Study in Australia, Naheed managed one of the largest textile firms in the Punjab region where she played a critical role in the strategic planning and operations of the business.
Using her skills, entrepreneurial nature and the knowledge she has gained through her extensive business experience, Naheed looks forward to leading the Study in Australia brand to great success in the Pakistan market.
Born in Pakistan, Naheed moved to Saudi Arabia as a newly wed, and lived there for 20 years raising three children, before returning to Pakistan. Her time in Saudi exposed Naheed to living in a multicultural community, with people from diverse backgrounds. It also gave her an appreciation of the social and cultural adjustment needed to prosper in a “foreign” culture. Having seen her children educated in a number of different schooling systems, Naheed understands the importance of social and cultural adjustment for academic success. The experience has also nurtured in her a passion for International education and how an international study experience can give not only a deep understanding of other cultures, but also a greater appreciation of your own culture. On returning to Pakistan after 20 years, Naheed experienced a degree of cultural shock as she again settled into living and doing business in Pakistan. Her own re-settlement experience means she is well equipped to help prepare students for their international studies. She believes that the company’s role must be to empower students to make the very best decisions, so that they can achieve their full potential through studying abroad, with the enriching cultural exchanges and opportunities that come as part of that package.
In 2018, when it came time for her eldest son to study abroad, Naheed searched for an education consultancy which had integrity as its core value. One where her son’s needs and aims would be put before any other considerations. She chose Study in Australia. She found the experience so good that she subsequently bought into the company. Study in Australia is the first Pakistan-based Student Consultancy owned and operated by two women.
The company founder, Riborg Andersen, is very excited to have Naheed on board. She appreciates that Naheed shares the core company values, and looks forward to Naheed’s business experience and acumen driving the growth of the company and it’s expansion into new centres in Pakistan.
